The Field Operations Lead will work as onsite liaison for clients, Client Services Manager and Field Operations staff. This position will work with leadership to create and oversee deployment strategies, create tools and procedures for gathering on site operations information and oversee on-site festival operations for both ticketing and RFID technologies. The Field Operations Lead will help oversee the onsite team, assign Points of Interest to each team member, ensure team members are trained on equipment, and create work schedule as staffing allows.
Job Duties
1. Work as liaison between Client/Client Services Manager and Field Operations contact. Collaborate with Client to gather on-site operations information (i.e. ISP requirements, office space requirements, etc.). Create tools and procedures for gathering on-site operations information from Manager Client Services. Provide tools to Manager Client Services prior to show.
2. Monitor relationships with onsite vendors and contacts related to onsite operations such as the ISP provider, Power Companies, and client Site Operations. Oversee the onsite team, assign Points of Interest (POIs) to each team member, ensure team members are trained on equipment, and create and adhere to work schedule as staffing allows. Serve as a backup for technical issues or questions for all on site team members.
3. Gather feedback from Client to staff and provide Manager Client Services with wrap up. Collaborate with Product and Engineering Department(s) for best practices by providing post event details for onsite applications of our related technologies. Gather information from onsite event staff in regards to post-use of our technologies (surveys, etc). Maintain Research and Development practices for operational related technologies (3rd party)
4. Work with management to create and maintain onsite protocols and best practices. Collaborate with Manager Client Services / Festival University professor to help gather necessary content that will be taught in the Festival University class regarding onsite operations.
5. Participate in the development of deployment timelines in preparation for each show for building gear and asset requests. Create all gear and asset requests related to deployments for each assigned show and provide to the Logistics department. Participate in establishing staffing plans for all assigned shows, including scheduling and coordinate travel planning with Travel and Shipping Specialist
6. Responsible for tracking all gear and asset requests, before during and after each assigned show. Provide asset tracking materials to all Shed employees working the show.
7. Create accurate sitemaps based on scanning and ticketing locations for each assigned show. Manage deployment process before, during and after show, to include setting up points of interest, ensuring all equipment is functional. Troubleshoot any issues throughout the show.
Required Qualifications
1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. 5 years of related work experience
3. 1-2 years’ experience directly related to field operations
4. Excellent customer service skills with experience working with clients
5. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
6. Familiarization with networking (TCP/IP) and security technologies, including WiFi, firewalls, routing, virtual private networking (VPN) etc.,
7. Ability to lift objects weighing up to 60 lbs.
8. Ability to work with various technology platforms and mobile devices (i.e., Point of Sale systems), including, but not limited to Apple, PC, Android, and iOS products and applications
9. Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
10. Must be able to work long hours including nights, weekends and some holidays
11. Music festival industry experience preferred
