Position Description
The role of the Product Specialist within the English Assessment team is to contribute to and enable the commercialisation and go-to-market of digital Proficiency assessment products. This is a global role and will be expected to influence across teams and geographies, work in virtual teams, own and drive commercial projects.

English & Schools with Pearson plc creates and delivers world-class products for our Schools and English markets around the globe. Within this, the Assessment portfolio is responsible for creating and delivering a portfolio of outstanding low-, mid- and high-stakes English language test to support language learning.
Key responsibilities:
• Drive analysis and requirements for new computer-based tests to support specific learner and teacher needs in target Geos.
• Conduct competitor analysis for digital products through desk research and management of primary research projects overseen by the research team. Identify points of differentiation for Pearson product and opportunities for product or platform development to drive growth.
• Provide insights to inform Assessment strategy and management of the proficiency tests product portfolio.
• Ensure appropriate governance of, strategy for and reporting of specific Proficiency test products. Track against targets, including sales, redemptions, print-digital conversion and market share. Disseminate data and share insights with the wider team.
• Develop and design go-to-market plans, presentation of plans to stakeholders and implementation of plans in collaboration with the geographies.
• Develop sales enablement tools and internal training materials for assessment products in coordination with the sales training team.
• Coordinate communication and translation of technical issues and fixes between technical teams, Geographies and product marketing.
• Ensure a complete end-to-end connection with the wider English& Schools and Geography teams.
• In all respects, be a flag-bearer of assessment products and strategy - presenting and selling the vision, enthusing colleagues and channels and driving success.
Candidate Profile
The role will suit an ambitious product speciliast with good analytical and project management skills and the ability to work well with others and juggle a variety of tasks to meet deadlines. The candidate must be prepared to meet challenges, work with multiple stakeholders, prioritise conflicting goals and cope with ambiguity.

• Highly numerate, capable of working with data and conducting data analysis
• Experience of project and/or product management and execution to achieve results
• Able to simplify complex challenges and propose solutions
• Agility and flexibility, able to adapt to a changing environment

• Able to grasp content, platforms, and technology development in an educational environment and communicate its benefits
• Responsible and ownership for key deliverables
Desirable
• Experience of delivering innovative, digital education products
Qualifications
• Bachelor or Masters degree, ideally in marketing or business related subject
