Responsibilities
Responsible for the strategic recruitment of Non-Exempt and Exempt positions across Universal Orlando. Supports the organization’s long-term staffing needs by developing strategies and executing initiatives to ensure timely and effective recruitment of right fit talent. Develops, maintains and enhances relationships with hiring managers through supportive resources, tools and education. Provides expertise, direction and development to both direct reports and other members of the Operational Staffing Team. Actively manages the selection and onboarding process. Manages candidate experience to ensure candidates have a positive experience throughout the process.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for developing and leading a professional talent acquisition strategy, inclusive of the management of full life cycle recruiting, for primarily management-level openings. Conduct phone interviews and one-on-one behavioral interviews for Non-Exempt and Exempt applicants and make determinations of capability and ability to succeed at Universal Orlando. Uses sound judgment in identifying proper role for candidates based on skill set, knowledge and ability.
• Provides counsel and expertise in the recruitment of hourly Lead, Non-Exempt, and Exempt positions. Develops recruiting strategies, recommends staffing initiatives, and writes proposals based on those initiatives to address both short and long-term business staffing needs. Monitors general staffing progress against open requisitions to determine priority and ensure effective and timely recruitment. Identifies trends, and utilizes staffing metrics to drive the staffing function and support Operators’ labor needs.
• Consults with and educates hiring managers in comprehensive recruitment and staffing issues including but not limited to: interviewing techniques, staffing policies and processes. Assists and educates managers in Staffing standards and the evaluation of candidates. Establishes and maintains ongoing relationships with hiring managers to understand the business unit and its recruitment needs. Attends departmental staff and other meetings as requested to acquire substantial knowledge about the department's business objectives, goals, operations and work culture. Partners with internal Human Resources partners (Human Resources Field Team, Learning and Development) to identify process improvements.
• Responsible for the management, direction, and development of direct reports ensuring that all company policies and procedures are consistently deployed across all teams. This can include performance management for Exempt-level and Non-Exempt-level Staffing Team Members (1-2 per team). Acts as a subject matter expert in regards to day to day staffing operations and utilizes strong decision making skills to proactively identify and resolve staffing related issues.
• Creates and administers programs designed to strategically recruit and select candidates for employment from both an internal and external perspective. Responsible for developing all aspects of the staffing action plans and logistics. Develops and integrates creative ways to source and recruit applicants. Builds upon existing partnerships with relevant educational and business organizations to source candidates and develop new programs.
• Plans, executes and participates in job fairs and/or other recruitment events to effectively source right fit candidates. Assist with Prescreens/interviews for entry-level applicants to determine applicant status to include offering an entry-level position, forwarding for a second interview or informing the applicant that there is no interest.

EDUCATION:
• High school degree or GED is required. Bachelor’s degree is required in Human Resources, Communication, Counseling, or Psychology disciplines.
EXPERIENCE:
• 2-3 years Human Resources experience required.
• 3-5 Years Human Resources experience preferred.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
• This role will occasionally require travel to off site hiring events, utilizing a personal or company vehicle.
