Business IS Analyst
Job Summary:
The Business IS Analyst is responsible for effectively and efficiently creating process routines using automation software. Also responsible for the management, research and execution on projects and initiatives, or specific activities related to department processes and systems improvements within budget and at the highest level of quality and customer service. This position is located in San Antonio, TX.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop process automation
• Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code
• Lead in gathering requirements
• Identifies opportunities for process and procedure enhancements to drive efficiency and customer service levels
• Effectively and efficiently creates software routines using automation software
• Manages, researches and executes on projects and initiatives, or specific activities related to department processes and systems improvements within budget and at the highest level of quality and customer service
• Continually improves the processes through process improvement techniques
• Organize and prioritize assigned reports and other data related tasks in order to meet deadlines
• Design and develop reports that allow users clear understanding of information required
• Gain approval of design of report from requestor
• Thoroughly test data accuracy of reports and other data related tasks prior to publishing report or committing data results
• Adhere to all reporting and data manipulation standards and practices
• Perform maintenance on tasks as needed
• Protects the company from risk (operational and non-operational)
Qualifications:
• Advanced to Expert level in Microsoft Office tools (Excel).
• Microsoft VBA experience preferred.
• Microsoft SQL experience preferred.
• Proven analyst experience. Proven experience utilizing process improvement techniques.
• Must be detailed oriented – strong attention to accuracy and problem solving. “Follow-up until resolved”
• Ability to multitask and to prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment – must escalate appropriately
Education
• Undergraduate degree in computer science, related field and/or equivalent experience required.
