Responsibilities
The Rental Agent is responsible for the daily operations in working with NBCU’s feature-films and episodic TV productions. Rental Agents have to custom build rental orders, in our RentalWorks system, for Set Lighting and Grip Departments. In addition to the Rental Agent creating orders, the Rental Agent is also responsible in maintaining and up keeping with the rental equipment and the day-to-day demands from productions and production crews. The rental equipment has to be performing in the best possible condition to keep up with productions demands. The role also maintains close relationships with representatives of the productions in order to analyze and make decisions relating to the production. The position reports to the Equipment Rental Manager and two non-management personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure that all equipment is ready for rental at any given moment
• Identify any piece of equipment that is not working so it could be fixed or sent out for repair
• Make sure all orders have been pulled and prepped properly for production crews
• Anticipate any shortages of equipment to stay on top of the equipment in high demands
• Partner with representatives of the departments to discuss future projects
• Stay on top of productions needs and orders
• Time manage the flow of the equipment coming in and going out
Qualifications/Requirements
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required
• Experience in preparing and time managing
• Film industry experience
• Knowledge of Set Lighting and Grip equipment
