Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, the Project Manager, Diversity and Employer Branding will provide inspiring and creative leadership in building our Employment Brand portfolio in the industry that will provide end-to-end digital marketing, employee value proposition and diversity solutions for the USA Today Network brand. This highly engaged role will be based at our Headquarters office in Tysons Corner, Virginia. Minimal travel is associated with this position.
The Project Manager, Diversity and Employer Branding will drive strategies that make Gannett and the USA TODAY Network a top destination for candidates and a great place to work for our employees. This role includes developing creative strategies that position us for success in the talent marketplace and communicating our EVP to our 16,000+ employees. Supports a team of 30+ Talent Acquisition Recruiters across 160 regional markets in the development of our brand, social identity, talent attraction strategy and our diversity strategy that will continue to help us attract and retain employees that supports business objectives, improves business performance, and gain a return on investment for the business. Designs and monitors key metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of employment branding, social media and talent attraction efforts. As a Key member of the Gannett USA TODAY Network Talent Acquisition team this role will be responsible for defining next-level practices and strategies and to create and maintain an impactful experience to attract and engage a highly qualified and diverse talent pool to meet the company’s hiring needs. In addition to the employment branding strategy for the organization, this position will design and execute comprehensive social medial strategies leveraging the latest technology to engage external talent and to unite and excite internal talent. This role will partner closely with other business units, divisions and subsidiaries.
Key Responsibilities
• Create a differentiated employment experience by incorporating the employee value proposition through all phases of the employee lifecycle, from attraction to retention and the hiring experience from attraction to on boarding.
• Identify and recommend progressive tools and strategies for building USA TODAY Network employment reputation in the external market, including social media and other digital channels.
• Integrate key elements of USA Today Network employment value proposition (EVP) into the corporate culture and recruitment advertising & marketing efforts.
• Partner effectively with key organizational stakeholders in Marketing, Communications and Corporate Branding to align internal and external communication strategies; engage recruiters and sourcing team to align on resources to support the candidate experience.
• Manage USA Today Network Talent Community communication strategy to build a diverse pipeline of talent for critical recruitment.
• Responsible for content creation and communication & engagement strategies in social media while closely partnering with the corporate digital strategy team.
• Create awareness and excitement around the Gannett employment experience through support and active participation in industry specific conferences and events.
Qualifications
• 5 years of experience driving social media strategies for a recruiting organization.
• Bachelor's degree preferably in Marketing, Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• Extensive years of marketing, marketing communications, communications and/or branding experience, preferably in large, complex organizations.
• Knowledge of current employment trends in outreach and engagement of multicultural/emerging audiences.
• Experience in managing and implementing large, complex communication or brand strategies and governance processes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Extensive knowledge of technology, websites, and products supporting employment branding.
