DESCRIPTION:
Division Overview:
The Publisher Support team is a group of dynamic and creative individuals focused on creating and optimizing Publisher capabilities, enable revenue growth and community building.
Role Details:
The Publisher Support Specialist position is a multi-faceted role that involves a strong focus on ongoing Publisher management, relationship building and network satisfaction. Managers are responsible for partnering with other departments, external partners and team members to develop strategies for revenue growth, subscription sales and community building. Additionally, Publisher Support Specialists will continue to work directly with publishers to ensure retention, network satisfaction and growth.
Your Day-to-Day:
• Publisher onboarding, training and development
• Works directly with Engineering and Product teams to support capacity planning, product roadmap, product/features development, and implement operational support frameworks to optimize the publisher and end user experience.
• Front-end technical support for CMS and Community (forums) platforms.
• Works with marketing and circulation on implementing and executing strategies with team sites to grow premium subscriptions
• Communicates with team sites on content examples that have worked in generating more traffic, subs and video plays across the network
• Coordinates with team sites and national editorial on coverage of events and breaking news (i.e. recruit announcements, coaching changes).
Key Projects:
• Due July, 2017. Train and support current Scout Media network publishers on the 247 Sports CMS.
• Proactively identifies opportunities for further community growth and revenue opportunities.
• Actively solicits feedback from publishers in order to facilitate improvements to documentation, training, network features, and the core product.
• Serves as the "voice of the publisher" ensuring all technical and operational issues are addressed in a timely manner.
• Publisher perspective will be informed through direct collaboration with publishers, partners, internal teams, and the professional services organization.
• Will also assess past service interruptions/outages, seek to determine root cause, and drive fixes/workarounds with the Product and Engineering teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
What you bring to the team:
You have -
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or Computer Science (or equivalent training & experience)
• 5+ years experience at an online company in digital media or content creation
• Ability to manage deadlines, handle ambiguity, multitask and quickly shift from one task to another.
• Possess high integrity, proven judgment and a strong work ethic.
• A relentless passion to provide the best publisher and end user experience possible.
You might also have -
• Experience in training and support of content management software/platforms.
• A demonstrated ability to develop and retain top publishers through coaching and mentoring.
• Proven ability to internalize and represent the "voice of the customer" throughout the product lifecycle and deliver on the defined end-to-end customer experience quickly grasps customer needs and understands dynamic new markets.
