Gannett DESC (a USA Today Network Co.) is looking for a Key Account Executive to sell multi-media recruitment solutions.
The Key Account Executive will spend their time consulting with an assigned Gannett media market, meeting face-to-face and over the phone with our largest, most valued clients and prospects. The Key Account Executive I will be responsible for conducting needs analysis conversations to develop robust account strategies. The person in this role will create and present customized integrated employments solutions to ensure both short-term and long-term success for the client and Gannett.
In this role, core responsibilities will include:
• Meets or exceeds revenue expectations. Maintains and grows account base. Develops and delivers ideas/solutions to grow market share within an existing customer base. Delivers and obtains long term commitments and campaigns.
• Identify individual customer needs, communicating the benefits of our recruiting solutions, and closing sales of solutions based on those needs
• Set and conduct face-to-face and phone appointments with prospective clients to close annual employment solutions
• Identify and grow existing book of business, market share, and revenue in the assigned market by securing high-value, long-term commitments from clients
• Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge to offer a professional service to clients
• Strategizes with Key Account Sales Manager to plan and execute multi-media solutions. Collaboratively develops and executes strategies to gain market share.
• Utilize available resources such as Wanted, Nexus, Hoovers and Salesforce to identify sales opportunities, monitor accounts and serve as an expert to all clients
• Understands market competitors and executes strategies for selling against the competition.
• Partners with Key Sales Manager and other teammates on day-to-day activities within account base.
• Develop, maintain and utilize professional selling skills that include effective prospecting, needs analysis, preparing and making presentations, timely follow-up, handling objections and closing sales
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals using a high volume of quality calls, coupled with using DESC resources and technology to influence decision makers in organizations
• Primary contact with customers for tasks including: Presentations, needs analysis, campaign proposals and contract discussions.
• Communicates with any/all team members as needed to work seamlessly as a group. Ensures Key Sales Manager has necessary information and updates on accounts. Communicates effectively to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
• Drives initiatives for constructive change and looks for opportunities to encourage others to become agents for change.
• Works to build a consensus with sales support, sales management, vertical specialists and other internal departments regarding strategy and execution of results oriented plans.
• Seeks out mentoring and coaching opportunities.
• Works to build “outside the box” plans that will deliver ROI for our customers

• Must have the drive to exceed expectations and outperform peers
• PC and Internet proficiency including MS Office and Outlook
• Valid driver’s license and regular access to a vehicle
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and experience
• Understanding of digital media platform
• Knowledge of recruitment solutions and products
• Ability to analyze customer needs and present solutions
• Ability to learn and understand account base, related industries and market trends
• Familiar with CRM and Salesforce.com
