Responsibilities
What you will do:
As a Media Support Manager you will provide operational and technical support for the Media Operations Group. Your main objective is to build digital workflows and ensure that all content is processed by the 24/7 Media Operations Group is prepped, QC'ed, and fulfilled on time and in the proper specification for international distribution. The second objective is providing operational and customer support for the portfolio of applications and products used for file-based digital workflows including video editing, transcoding, digital file delivery, and live streaming. This person will also work directly with operations to provide strategic recommendations, and lead deployments of identified solutions. This is a role that combines broadcast engineering, information technology, and digital media. An ideal candidate will have a background in Computer Science, Information Systems, or New Media. This person will like to operate in a fast paced environment, enjoy interacting with customers, and willing to tackle unique challenges head-on.
Qualifications/Requirements
What you need:
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in either a broadcast operations or post-production environment
• A minimum of 1 year of experience on Non Linear Editing Systems (specifically Avid or Final Cut Pro)
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer facing role
• A minimum of 1 year of experience of all Microsoft Office applications (including Outlook, Word, Excel)

Desired Characteristics
Bonus Points:
• An individual with a very strong desire to learn, take on new technologies and challenges, & teach others
• Familiarity with digital media file types - Quicktime, MXF, MPEG, Mp4 etc.
• Familiarity with digital media workflows - Transcoding and digital file delivery
• Familiarity with international workflows
• Experience working with live video media and media files including streaming and transcoding technologies
• Knowledge of various digital delivery methods, ftp, UDCP, Signiant and Aspera
• IT experience in any capacity. Understand of scripting
• Must be willing and able to work on any shift including, overnights, swing, or weekend
• Ability to learn quickly and find answers via alternative means (blogs, forums, Google)
• Experience supporting customer workflows through operations team and/or help desk
• An individual with a very strong desire to learn, take on new technologies and challenges, & teach others
• Experiencing working in a team environment
• Able to multi-task and make effective decisions in a high pressure deadline driven environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to interface with multiple departments, clients, and vendors
