Summary of Position:
Lionsgate has an immediate opening for an Assistant in its Television Post Production department. This position requires a talented individual who can provide administrative support to the Sr. Vice President and the Vice President. Responsibilities:
• Aid in the post-production of on-air projects, servicing/distribution
• Answering phones, taking messages, updating contacts daily, general office tasks: data entry, filing, faxing, expense reports, etc.
• Rolling calls, scheduling and hosting conference calls
• Composing and responding to emails
• Updating and managing schedules, daily logs, project calendars, project binders and budgets
• Act as contact liaison to the Post teams on all shows
• Grant viewing access to all parties for show cuts and final episodes
• Support Post Production SVP and VP from the development process through to the completion of the project/delivery and air
• Perform other tasks as assigned; including assisting Post Director and Manager in tasks and scheduling
• Manage TV Final Air DVDs: includes locating episodes for editors, producers, actors, agents, and network execs returning tapes from editing rooms to the vault and updating the vault directory
• Create and distribute DVDs for weekly Final Airs to TV execs or to others as requested
• Schedule and coordinate meetings
• Schedule, plan and book domestic and international travel
• Build basic excel spreadsheets for Post Production tracking including all show involvement
• Manage online data viewing system
Experience & Skills:
• Demonstrated interest in TV post-production required
• Previous production or post production experience preferred
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and be a self-starter required
• Must be EXTREMELY detail-oriented and understand no task is too small
• Creativity and writing skills preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
• Position requires enthusiasm, self-sufficiently and maturity
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment required
• Ability to follow direction and take constructive criticism required
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Strong PC Computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet required
• Strong work ethic, reliable, mature, professional and positive attitude required
• Strong desire to contribute to a team required
• Meticulous attention to detail required
• Interest in Scripted Series, Reality, miniseries, and Documentary television preferred
• Ability to adapt to a changing and growing work environment required
• BA/BS degree in a related field required
