SUMMARY
Hulu is seeking a Content Marketing Manager to join our Content Marketing team of savvy and passionate marketers. The successful candidate will serve as the primary contact for a selection of Hulu’s content partners and be responsible for strategizing, planning, executing and analyzing content marketing initiatives to drive subscriber acquisition and to build awareness and engagement with premium content on Hulu. The right person for this role thrives in a fast-paced environment, works effectively cross-departmentally to understand key players and communicate among them, has eagerness to deeply understand the Hulu service, and possesses an exceptional ability to set strategy, gain buy-in, and execute marketing campaigns. Proven history of consumer content marketing successes in previous organization(s), with a clear focus on achieving goals and learning from past experiences is critical. This position requires you to hit the ground sprinting and have a strong understanding of the television and cable industry.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Develop marketing plans that demonstrate clear strategies towards reaching show-specific and company goals
• Responsible for thoroughly understanding content license agreements and contractual obligations that impact marketing plan development
• Liaise with external marketing partners/agencies to implement and manage content marketing initiatives
• Work with internal teams (e.g., content partner management, product, finance, creative, PR) to strategize, execute and track campaigns
• Maintain budget and spend for content marketing initiativesC
• onduct and evaluate both qualitative and quantitative research/analysis to track success of current and recent marketing campaigns - sharing timely results, key learnings and insights that can be applied to current and future executions
• Analyze and evaluate media and marketing data before, during and after program implementation
• Investigate and stay current with industry trends to optimize future campaigns
• Support other promotional activities as needed
WHAT TO BRING
• B.A. required, MBA a plus
• 5+ years relevant experience in content marketing
• Experience with digital marketing projects for entertainment properties, including media buying and analysis
• Solid understanding of television and cable industries
• Ability to partner with multiple constituencies in a team environment
• Strong relationship management and communication skills
• Digital client and/or agency experience a plus
• Highly skilled in Power Point and Excel
• Excellent work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude
• Exceptional attention to detail and follow through
