We are currently seeking a Key Account Manager, Higher Educationwho will be responsible for identifying, developing, leading and growing key account through strategic and commercial planning and modeling process.
Key Accountabilities:
• Identify and develop new custmers as new business opportunity
• Hold key responsibility for assigned customers and proactively and strategically expand business within these customers
• Manage and further penetrate customers at all levels and develop relationships with key accounts to identify commercial opportunity, networking and fact-finding to drive achievement of plans and objectives
• Formulate strategic and operational plans based on a solid understanding of the market trends and customer demands, with commercial and customer data.
• Develop relationships to influence key stakeholders including government and non-government organizations as well as educators to position Pearson as the preferred education solutions provider
• Develop timely and accurate forecasts for assigned accounts and revise throughout the year which relates to budget and finances of Pearson
• Accountable to operational performance and formulation of business policies, plans and strategies, regarding to other employees who are involved in the assigned territory
Qualifications
Profile:
• Possess at least a Bachelor Degree or equivalent or higher
• Sound knowledge of the education sector and trends that create business opportunity
• Working experience in education/publishing industry and understanding of the changing education needs
• Strong account management and relationship building skills, reflected in proven sales track record
• Able to interact effectively with all levels of people, specifically at the senior executive level within key stakeholder group
• Comfort level in working with numbers and performing statistical analysis
• Strong communication, problem-solving, negotiation and influencing skills plus an ability to operate in a matrix-reporting environment.
• Experience / knowledge in business-to-business sales
• Marketing background would be an asset
• IT literate eg: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with photo-editing/videography skills, 3D designing will be a plus
