OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
This role will serve as both product designer and primary in-house, data driven, customer growth expert for Digital Platforms across all AMC Networks brands. The role will report into the product team. The Director will work closely with product managers, content, marketing, engineering and ad sales stakeholders to make data driven customer engagement decisions. This role will also be responsible for executing event driven e-mail communications, mobile notifications and other emerging customer acquisition and retention methods.
The ideal candidate is both a strategic and critical thinker with the drive to execute. Possesses the discipline and rigor of monitoring customer conversion metrics. Set targets/goals and benchmark to conceive tactical steps to meet those targets. Work closely with CRM and Business Intelligence groups to gain customer data and insights. Customer conversion and growth is the key.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the holistic view of the product’s integration (customer and technical) points such that they work seamlessly
• Create end-to-end customer journeys with a great eye for detail to remove friction
• In-depth understanding of how systems interact with each other and a natural instinct to identify pitfalls
• Responsible for growing audiences for multi-brand, multi-platform digital products
• Responsible for establishing KPIs for growth, formulating strategies, prioritizing and executing on tactical plans for customer acquisition and retention methods vis-a-vis mobile notifications, emails, organic search and other emerging customer communication methods
• Synthesize trends, propose hypothesis, test via A/B Testing tools, document and recommend clear and specific solutions to acquire and retain customers
• Manage and report on all product-based consumer data, behavioral insights through rich, intuitive data visualization methods
• Provide informed recommendations for audience growth, to brand executives and functional stakeholders in product, design, content, CRM, engineering
• Formulate strategies based on customer data and behavioral insights
• Attend weekly sprint grooming meetings - communicate level of effort and complexity, mitigate risks, break down epics into measurable tasks
• Monitor, track progress and update the product roadmap based on new findings and priorities
• Document growth and acquisition best practices with supporting data
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 6+ years experience in digital media or a related field, including at least 3-5 years of highly relevant experience working on customer acquisition, activation and retention—preferably a media company
• In depth understanding of product design. A holistic thinker who has an eye for detail for typography, color theory, copy and product messaging, the rationale for every ‘call to action’ link in addition to the UX best practices
• Agile processes and sprints planning
• Experience managing CPA and LTV for e-commerce startups
• Working knowledge of query tools for data analysis
• Bachelors degree. Experience managing product managers
