Responsibilities
SUMMARY: Manages the inventory value and internal process (receipt, stocking and distribution) functions for Technical Services general MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operating) spend. Provide seamless distribution and service while driving sound financial performance and managing overall inventory value.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Completes MRP for annual stock inventory purchases to ensure JIT deliveries, minimal inventory carrying costs and best pricing on high usage and manufactured consumables.
• Develops and produces business reporting and key performance indicators relating to inventory and nonstock spend. Expert understanding of the Maximo system as well as end user based tools such as Microsoft Excel and Access to aid in supply chain efficiency increases.
• Responsible for managing Sarbanes-Oxley primary controls process for “Purchase and Inventory Tech Services” and completing the quarterly Sarbanes-Oxley 302 and 404 Certifications.
• Directs the inventory management processes of receipt, stocking, and distribution. Stocking responsibilities to include main storeroom as well as multiple satellite warehouses and offsite warehouse locations. Recommends stock levels and approves add to stock and inventory change requests while balancing customer service requirements and financial return. Manages accuracy of procurement process as it relates to receiving and stock inventory.
• Responsible for managing daily cycle count and annual physical inventory requirements as well as reconciliation of the monthly values recorded in the financial systems.
• Directs staff during the inventory process to align customer requirements and financial best practices.
• Manages slow-moving and potentially obsolete inventory evaluation. Oversees disposition of obsolete items in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley primary controls.
• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned

RELATIONSHIPS OUTSIDE WORK UNIT: Influences decisions of major nature. High degree of tact & diplomacy to obtain favorable decisions or maintain good will.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Typically supervises entry-level management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 2 direct supervisors and 15-20 indirect team members; Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Qualifications/Requirements

EDUCATION: High school degree or GED required; Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school required. Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university in Finance or Business preferred.
Experience: 7-10 Years: Business / Operational Finance Inventory management required in a manufacturing or engineering environment required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PLANNING HORIZON: Longer Term (1 Year)
PLANNING KNOWLEDGE: In-depth department operating plan; awareness of overall Company goals
RESPONSIBILITY: Management of standard policies and procedures within major function; frequently coordinates processes across the division
ACCOUNTABILITY: Divisional key performance indicators (overall inventory value, Sarbanes-Oxley audit compliance, management of risk of obsolescence, inventory fill rate)
CERTIFICATES, LICENCES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Florida Driver License Required; CPIM or CSCP Preferred
ON-THE-JOB TRAINING: 12-16 weeks on the job training for internal warehouse procedures, financial process and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance; Standup/Sit-Down/Pallet-Jack, Compressed Gas with LP Filling, Back / Lifting Safety, Fall Protection, and Hazardous Communication training classes required.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The ability to handle a high volume of work in a fast paced ever changing environment required; the ability to multi-task (i.e., answer emails, answer the telephone, handle team member and customer situations) required; Mastery of Microsoft Excel Required; Knowledge of Microsoft or Maximo preferred; ability to manipulate and interpret large volumes of mathematical data required
