The Global Operations Analytics Team sits in the Operations department of Pearson VUE. The data analyst role will be responsible for the production and analysis of relevant and timely reporting that will assist and enable other areas of the business in their decision making. This will be done by utilizing their technical expertise to extract data from multiple data sources and then combining this into reliable reports. Position is located in Bloomington, MN.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implementation of strategic reporting and analysis to track Operational performance.
• Evaluate opportunities to improve Global Operations Analytics quality.
• Develop reporting in a user friendly format that supports the business and Operations.
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for all processes to agreed standards.
• Provide analytical support across Operations and/or specific functional business units.
• Contribute to strategic business initiatives across operations by providing performance analysis to support strategies.
• Identify the needs of the customer, design and produce new reports also analyse and improve existing reports to both internal and external customers.
• Proactively manage customer expectations and requirements ensuring that forecasting and analysis needs are met to agreed timescales and standards of accuracy.
• Act as a consultant to both internal and external customers on behalf of the team and represent the Global Operations Analytics team to obtain requirements and report back to Operational management.
• Involvement in the analysis that takes place around contract variance work
Qualifications

• Analytical skills with the ability to research and extract information.
• Advanced Excel skills
• At least 2 years’ experience within a similar role.
• The ability to work to stretching targets and deadlines.
• A keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• A demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both oral and written forms.
• Ability to operate within the team concept effectively and foster a unified team spirit along with the ability to work alone.
• Be apprised of technologies and tools available.
• Continual professional development.
Desirable Experience & Qualifications
• Knowledge of Pearson VUE and systems.
• Working knowledge of programming methodologies.
• Knowledge of IBM Counter Fraud Management Tool.
• Experience in a programming discipline, and the ability to read and understand Microsoft SQL server.
