Responsibilities
The Market Sales Manager will be the primary sales, operations and systems’ lead for all course customers within a defined portfolio of partner golf clubs.
Acting as the main point of contact for our course partners, they are expected to build, maintain and expand relationships by providing expertise on products and services offered by BRS Golf, Golf Now and Teeofftimes.co.uk.
Key Responsibilities;
• Inventory Acquisition – Proactively engaging with partner clubs to gather improved inventory for sale via GolfNow and Teeofftimes.co.uk.
• Adoption of technology – Ensuring BRS Technology customers are proactively engaged to and getting the best use from their system to aid retention, and where possible, increase technology upsells.
• Relationship Management - Building and maintaining positive relationships, maximising all opportunities to develop sales from the portfolio of accounts. Proactively assessing, clarifying and validating account needs on an on-going basis in accordance with their accounts classification.
• Financial Awareness – Reviewing performance against targets and market research to devise action plans to address areas of opportunity and to maximise sales channels that are performing well.
• Distribution Acquisition – Proactively communicating with non-partner courses within the region to successfully recruit new golf club partners to the Golf Now and Teeofftimes.co.uk platforms.
• Communication – Educating clubs in the GolfNow and Teeofftimes.co.uk market opportunities and business processes to ensure clubs are fully engaged with the services and understand how to maximise the opportunities available to them.
• Process Driven – Achieving delivery within the agreed sales cycle process and ensuring clear audit trails and updated supplier profiles within the Salesforce platform.
• Brand Representation – Acting as a positive ambassador For BRS Golf, Golf Now and Teeofftimes.co.uk within managed portfolio, professional bodies & among partner and external organisations.
Qualifications/Requirements
It is essential that candidates have;
• 3+ years of professional experience in an account management role within a relevant industry (eg Sports, Hospitality, Technology/ Digital)
• Strong communication skills and a proven track record of building and maintaining long term mutually beneficial working relationships.
• Experience of analysing, collating and presenting data to support proposals to current and prospective clients.
• An understanding of dynamic pricing and ability to demonstrate sound commerciality.
• Be results oriented and have a proven record of achieving targets and objectives.
• Demonstrable ability to work under pressure, managing several projects simultaneously and setting priorities.
• Understanding of IT/internet products and use.
• Experience of working effectively in a fast paced, team oriented environment.
Additional Skills and Experience that would be desirable;
• Education to degree level in a relevant discipline (e.g. Business/ Marketing/ IT).
• An understanding of or experience within the Golf industry and a passion for the game.
• Account Management experience within an E-Commerce environment.
