Responsibilities
The Network Operator should be technically inclined with a comprehensive understanding of and the ability to operate broadcast equipment on a National/International Broadcast Operations level. This includes original taped programming, LIVE tournaments, Press Conferences and LIVE news events.
Responsibilities:
On air operation of Florical Broadcast Automation Systems and Evertz switching for play-out
Editing, managing on air logs, automation playlists and server device management as required
Complete LIVE on air faxing with remote and studio sources for playlist accuracy and execution including detailed times and notations on air log from Com Ops
Demonstrated abilities to monitor quality of outgoing signals and adjust equipment as necessary
Knowledge of on-air graphic elements through automation – Ticker, bug and sponsor secondary events
Preview scheduled programs to ensure that signals are functioning and programs are ready for broadcast. Air checklists and playlist monitoring for on air playout accuracy
Ensure Close Captioning and world feed routing is accurate
Report equipment problems, ensure that repairs are made, and perform emergency workarounds
Quality Control of filing shows and commercial spots into video server. Knowledge of spot delivery platforms a must.
Video non-linear editing using Omneon Servers and Adobe Premiere
Analytical Thinking — analyzing information and using logic to address work-related issues and problems.
Proven dependability, reliable, responsible, and fulfill network obligations.
Attention to Detail — complete work tasks and provide communication through engineering reporting and Discrepancy reporting.
LIVE event execution – strong communication with multiple remote sources and production control rooms effectively
Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications/Responsibilities:
Two years high level on air Broadcast Operations experience preferred
Proficiency with on air Automation Systems, clearcom, and router processes.
Florical Automation experience preferred
College Degree in related field (Communication, Broadcasting) preferred
Computer related experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Flexible schedule nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays
Working knowledge of HD formats
Be able to read and understand Video and Audio metering software
Punctual, regular and consistent attendance
Overtime may be required
