DESCRIPTION:
Oversee daily production of assigned newscast. Manage reporters and elements in the broadcast. May be responsible for breaking news coverage. Produce specials as required. Participate in morning meeting, work with assignment manager to develop stories, and perform other duties assigned by News Director.
Must be a leader in the development and execution of a newscast. Master of storytelling and the written word. Understand top story treatment, elementing of stories, "news now" production style, effective teasing, aggressive use of live elements, and innovation of presentation a must.
Shift may vary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: Television newscast producing experience
Preferred: Minimum two years in broadcasting.
