Purpose of position:
• To lecture and facilitate multimedia modules at 2nd and 3rd year level in the Faculty of Humanities.
• To assist in the administration and departmental affairs and activities as required by the Programme Coordinator and Dean of the Faculty.
• To work with the Programme Coordinator and Dean of the Faculty on developing new course materials and curricula.
• To manage modules on all remote sites
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lecturing
• General administration
• Setting assessments, establishing marking criteria, marking and moderation
• Preparation of notes, study guides, lecturers guides and additional study materials and material for E-learn site
• Coordination and Quality Assurance on all campuses
• Assistance with the preparation, co-ordination and attendance at functions, events, registration and activities (exhibitions, open/career days)

Qualifications
Minimum qualification:
• An Honours Degree or BTech in Web and/ or Broadcast/ 3D design or similar is a minimum requirement
• Candidates with a Masters Degree or equivalent will receive preference.
Experience:
• Relevant lecturing / industry/ academic experience
• Necessary knowledge of higher education practices and processes
• Relevant research experience
• Knowledge of html-5 & CSS are essential
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite essential
• Knowledge of UX and UI a bonus
• Any html and CSS frameworks a bonus
• The lecturer will also teach other multimedia modules and it will be beneficial if the lecturer has experience in either Broadcast Design (with a focus on Adobe After Effects) or knowledge of 3D animation using Maya.
