Job Summary:
The Employee Recognition/Events Specialist develops, implements and communicates employee recognition, events, programmer, and corporate citizenship programs to help meet the expectations of the customers and the performance goals of the business. This person interacts with call center(s) departments, various corporate departments, programmers, and community partners, and works to build positive internal and external relationships.
Primary Responsibilities:
-Develops and implements recognition programs, campaigns and incentives to drive specific performance behaviors and create a results driven environment. Develops associated project plans and budget for each.
-Provides feedback to management regarding the effectiveness of programs in meeting company and center objectives.
-Communicates effectively with individuals/teams via a variety of methods including face-to-face, on-line, and display space to promote activities, events and programs.
-Develops relationships with community partners and coordinates fundraising efforts for various community agencies.
-Partners with Corporate Citizenship Manager to align Center corporate citizenship programs with company objectives.-
-Provides development and learning opportunities as appropriate.
-Plans and administers on and off-site special events and meetings. Partners with Corporate Events Manager for administration of company-wide events.
-Researches and purchases cost-effective merchandise for events and programs to meet budget targets. Partners with corporate buyer to negotiate contracts and purchase orders.
-Coordinates with corporate marketing staff to implement, administer, and promote incentive programs that drive results and revenues. Participates in other activities designed to improve customer satisfaction and business performance.
-Coordinates with programmers to arrange and manage programmer awareness days, incentives and events to increase morale and help create a positive environment.
-Interacts with all levels of employees and represents the Customer Contact Center and community activities in a professional manner.
-Performs all other functions as assigned by the Call Center Director.
-Involved in overall strategy and management of customer care organization. Establishes policies and procedures to provide necessary customer service, meet organizational goals and drive revenues. This may also include individual contributor roles that provide analytics and support to help drive operational efficiencies and overall performance.
Core Responsibilities:
-Designs and implements process improvements in partnerships with related departments to maximize resources and improve operational efficiencies.
-Provides reports and analysis of Key Performance indicators and other operational metrics on a routine basis.
-Assists leadership in the identification, prioritization, planning development, coordination, support, and execution of high impact plans for effective and sustainable cost savings.
-Evaluates and implements new methods and techniques for operational improvement.
-Provides customer service leadership with regard to all facets of customer contact and operations analysis.
-Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
-Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
-Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Specification:
-Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
-Business
-Generally requires 5-7 years related experience
Additional Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or communications or equivalent experience in event planning and program and event design and production.
-One or more years of call center operation experience preferred.
-Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
-Strong written and oral communication skills.
-Strong project management skills.
-Must display good judgment, discretion and a high degree of confidentiality with regard to sensitive or confidential information.
-Strong computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint. Preferred computer skills in MS Publisher, Front Page, Adobe
-PageMaker, and photo editing software.
-Willingness and ability to travel locally as necessary.
-Ability to work flexible shifts and attend events as necessary.
-May be required to drive or van pool to various locations.
-Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds.
-Flexible schedule, as occasionally an event will take place on a night or weekend day.
