Position Description:
The Radio division of Bell Mobility plans, designs, builds, and operates Push To Talk (PTT) 2-way radio networks providing managed services for Public Safety users. The work is very diversified and requires autonomy on the part of employees, as much in the development of skills as in the organization of the work. The Radio division expects its employees to be engaged to deliver a superior quality of service and promptness expected by our customers.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
The incumbent will take part in various activities related to the deployment and support of radio communication networks dedicated to public safety, such as:
• Data analysis & trending
• Support the implementation of new solutions
• Participate in the preparation of various technical documents
• Develop software and scripts to automate certain tasks
• Support technical proposal preparation
• Support the investigation and resolution of customer reported troubles
• Build and improve SQL queries for reporting
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
• Registered to obtain a degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Sciences
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
• Good knowledge of the Microsoft operating systems, Windows server 2008-2012, SQL
• Ability to apply technology knowledge to create solutions
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong data analysis capabilities
Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:
• Software programming skills, C#, .NET
• Knowledge of Linux/Solaris/Unix
• Knowledge of IP networks (switches, routers, firewall, etc.)
• Knowledge of Auto Cad and MapInfo
• Basic Knowledge in RF and telecommunications
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
