A&R assistant
A little bit about our team:
The A&R dept is a creative department responsible for both finding and developing musical artists to sign as well as producing artists and driving content for all forms of media. The entire building revolves around the artists that A&R signs so you will interact with many different departments on a daily basis.
Why this could be your next big break:
The life of an A&R executive is quick paced and always different so on any given day, while in the midst of handling the details for a recording session, the A&R executive may need to catch a flight that night for a potential signing. This position supports Vice Presidents of A&R and as such provides vital administrative support to their very demanding schedules. You will be relied on for great follow through for all phases of their projects.
Here you’ll get to:
• You will help log in and screen demo submissions
• You will research and help analyze artist statistics and data
• You will book travel for executives as well as artists
• You will process and track expenses
• You will schedule meetings and keep track of calendar
• You will answer and screen telephone calls and receive and direct visitors
• You will book studio time and coordinate materials and personnel for recording sessions
• You will assemble label copy and credits for product releases
Rockstar candidates will be able to:
• You have 0-2 years of creative experience
• Previous assistant / production coordination experience a plus
• You have the ability to work under pressure and deadlines
• You have the ability to professionally interface with all levels of the organization, clients and vendors
• You have a strong love of music
• You have the ability to work independently and take initiative
• You have excellent verbal and written communication and inter-personal skills
• You have discretion
• You have strong attention to detail
• You can efficiently multi-task
• You have the ability to problem solve
It would be music to our ears if you also had:
• Undergraduate degree
• Strong understanding of recording, production and creative side of business
• Knowledge of key industry players
