Our Content Operations (COPS, for short) Asset Coordinator is a tenacious individual who will be on the front lines of acquiring and tracking different materials from and communicating with our global partners. You'll be working collaboratively with licensing, content management and production teams to devise the most efficient and effective content-sourcing workflows, and as part of a larger COPS unit you'll be supporting digital streaming, home video and other initiatives that touch the lives of millions of users.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with our partners around the globe to acquire and deliver materials for all aspects of anime distribution
• Check for and clearly convey materials issues to partner
• Work with content partners to gather the appropriate materials for localization
• Chase down materials at all hours of the day
• Coordinate with our partners regarding issues that come up in localization
• Requirements:
• Must be able to read Japanese at native level and speak and write emails at a near native level fluency.
• Must be very detail oriented and technically oriented
• Must be familiar with localization workflows. Familiarity of subtitling workflows is a plus.
• Must be able to communicate the contents of Japanese materials in English.
• Must be familiar with video workflows and encoding
• Must be available at odd hours to coordinate materials
• Must be familiar with Word and Excel or google sheets
• Must be willing to work with command line interfaces
• Able to balance many tasks at once independently.
• Must have knowledge of anime
Pluses:
• Strong geographical knowledge
• Previously worked with digital asset delivery (FTP, Aspera, Skeed)
• Previously worked with programming languages, especially php/python
• Familiar with IRC or Linux
