Additionally, we host the top entertainers, family shows and special events at our venues
Job Summary:
The Manager of Parking Operations oversees the daily operations of the parking department for the Oakland Alameda County Coliseum and Oracle Arena campus. The incumbent will also manage the relationship with the 3rd party parking contractor.
Essential Functions:
• Manage all parking staff including 3rd party vendor
• Oversee reporting of revenues, efficiency, and inventory
• Facilitates planning for all events on campus and their parking needs
• Manage the parking needs of all departments
• Monitor and audit the parking operations via parking control equipment
• Address and resolve all issues for Executives, VIPs, and special guest
Required Qualifications:
• A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalent; BA/BS highly preferred
• 3-5 years of previous experience managing event operations
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Highly organized, resourceful, and able to multitask in a fast paced environment
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, vendors, and partners
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment or individually with minimal supervision
• Previous experience in sports/entertainment venue not required but strongly preferred
• Works well under pressure with the ability to execute last minute decisions
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be able to handle customer service issues.
• Must maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance.
• Must be able to drive a company vehicle and must have a valid driver's license in good standing with DMV.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in auditing parking control equipment
• Experience with integrated Parking Control Equipment
• Experience in repair and maintenance of parking control equipment
