Responsibilities
Role Summary
The Analyst, Ad Sales Research will be responsible for management and analysis of data in support of sales positioning for the NBCU Lifestyle Portfolio (Bravo, E!, Oxygen, Sprout, and Fandango Networks). The Analyst will interface with internal constituencies (sales, client partnership development, client solutions, finance) and leverage syndicated research tools to effectively position the NBCU Lifestyle Portfolio and across the Cable Entertainment marketplace. This person should have passion for entertainment and the media business, as well as experience with cross-platform research (TV, Digital, Social).
• Assist with the development of all marketing collateral materials to position NBCU Lifestyle to agencies and advertisers (Ratings highlights, rankers, program one sheets, etc.)
• Develop category and consumer insights to support marketing opportunities
• Analyze competitive spending patterns
• Create proof of performance presentations based on campaign results
• Respond to ad hoc metrics-related queries from across the organization as necessary
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Four year degree (B.A., B.S.) from an accredited college or university
• 3+ years of experience at an agency, media company, sales organization or in research
• Digital/social research experience
• Strong analytical background and experience managing large datasets
• Knowledge of media math
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Desired Characteristics
• Knowledge of Nielsen Software – Lake 5, National Tool Box, Ad Intel, TVBE, @Plan
• Knowledge of comScore Software including MyMetrix, and Rentrak
• Knowledge of MRI
• Custom research experience is highly desired
• Attention to detail and strong writing skills
• Team player with the ability to take on different assignments/projects in a timely manner
• Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain relationships with team
• Feel comfortable communicating both verbally and in writing to all levels within the organization
• Must be well versed in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) particularly in Excel
