Responsibilities
Job Purpose
The NBC Broadcast Network seeks individual to support quantitative research for the network’s entertainment properties and competition. The Research Analyst services internal clients (i.e., programming, scheduling, marketing, pricing, press & publicity and management).
Essential Responsibilities:
Focus on linear TV ratings while incorporating alternate platform (digital) consumption
Provide analyses and audience estimates with logical POVs
Report directly to VP of West Coast Entertainment Research, supporting NY-based research department and top management in all aspects of quantitative research for primetime, late night and daytime dayparts including routine reporting, analyses, providing POV/input to financial, scheduling and strategic estimates, and contributing to presentation materials
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Experience using Microsoft Office tools (notably Excel & PowerPoint)
Television research experience required (including experience gained from internships)

Desired Characteristics:
Bachelor’s Degree strongly desired
In-depth knowledge of Television/Media landscape and impact on TV viewing
Passion for TV past, present and future
Expertise with Microsoft Excel, familiarity with macros/VBA
Experience with Nielsen tools, particularly NPower
Proficiency with HTML and/or programming languages (e.g., SQL, JavaScript) a plus
Comfort working with numbers/data
