Responsibilities:
Identify opportunities to expand relationships with content-oriented technology vendors and with app platforms
Develop partnerships and implement vendor relationships that enable NBCU content performance and analysis goals, including through strategically crafted pilot programs & initiatives; lead on resulting negotiations/deals for partnership and services.
Manage app distribution relationships with external partners, including Apple, Google, Amazon and Roku and other key players
Build relationships across the NBCU enterprise including broadcast, cable, ad sales and product; develop an understanding of constituent technologies, business priorities and performance improvement opportunities vis-à-vis distributed and on-domain content
Establish plan for technology partnerships & solutions plan with clear objectives and measureable KPIs that take into account NBCU revenue and constituent priorities; develop a format and cadence for cross-company communication of activities, performance, status and priorities
Track performance of vendors & partnership activities across the enterprise; facilitate the sharing of best practices; generally support the division’s data team efforts to enable centralized reporting tools
Field and vet incoming inquiries and source new partners across video technology, mobile, consumer electronics players
Build and maintain intelligence on companies in the digital media technology landscape via networking, 3rd party research, trade press and earnings/financial reporting
Monitor, analyze and develop a position on industry reports/trends regarding emerging technologies; identify opportunities and risks for NBCU; develop strategies to strengthen our competitive position; share insights into industry trends and opportunities with the broader organization
Qualifications/Requirements
Required Qualifications:
4-7 years of experience in technology, business development and/or audience development in connection with television, film, or digital media distribution & management.
Deeply knowledgeable of trends, technology and solutions involved in ad supported digital content marketing and distribution
Negotiation experience with track record of closing deals
Experience gathering & analyzing research, utilizing both internal and external industry sources; ability to clearly articulate the so what, with a plan of action
Ability to operate effectively in a large, highly decentralized organization
Excellent skills in presentation (PPT) writing and narrative development for senior management audiences
Superior financial analysis skills and sound understanding of business planning/modeling
Desired Qualifications:
Self-starter with high energy level and tolerance for ambiguity
Strong interpersonal and internal/external relationship management skills
MBA strongly preferred
