Responsibilities
The NBCUniversal Digital Enterprises team is seeking a dynamic and creative senior director of strategic initiatives. This person will help us scale digital products, franchises and businesses priorities across the portfolio of NBCU to maximize impact and reach. S/he will also help identify, develop and drive new programs and partnerships that create audience, revenue and innovation opportunities for the NBCU digital portfolio.
Responsibilities
Design and drive plans that creatively leverage the full power of the NBCU portfolio to accelerate strategic initiatives of our digital businesses. Initiatives may include launching new franchises, driving sign up to subscription services, growing followings of key social accounts, etc.
Build relationships with teams across NBCU and our partners including broadcast, cable, news, film and parks, Buzzfeed and Vox, to understand priorities and identify opportunities for synergies.
Develop and gain buy-in for strategic partnership plan for each player, with clear objectives and measureable KPIs.
Analyze data in real time to optimize strategic initiatives in progress and share best practices with wide group of stakeholders
Maintain relationships with Comcast Ventures to identify emerging opportunities, working with CV to identify synergies between their portfolio companies and NBCU businesses.
Create and launch new programs that take advantage of the breadth of NBCU’s portfolio.
Facilitate best practices across the digital portfolio around areas such as commerce, Facebook live strategy, SEO, etc.
Qualifications/Requirements
7 + years of experience in digital content creation and/or digital marketing
Self-starter with high energy level and tolerance for ambiguity
Strong interpersonal and internal/external relationship management skills
Deeply knowledgeable of current trends in digital media with an emphasis on video, social and marketing. Knowledge of emerging platforms – VR, AR, BOTS -- preferred.
Experience gathering & analyzing data
Ability to operate effectively in a large, highly decentralized organization
