Daily Press is looking for an Advertiser Marketing Manager to be a part of our dynamic Marketing team. The Marketing Manager will lead the process to create dynamic integrated marketing solutions that leverage our robust portfolio of print and online media, events and promotions. The Manager will support a specific category and all category-related products and initiatives. The Marketing Manager will research market conditions and consumer behaviors, and craft compelling sales arguments which will showcase our product portfolio for our prospects and customers.

Responsibilities:
The Marketing Manager is also responsible for digital analytics (page views, visitors, demographic profiles) of category blogs and competitor sites.
As a member of our Advertiser Marketing Department, you'll be charged with a tri-fold mission of: 1) shortening our sales turn times, ensuring timely deliverables for our sales team; 2) moving beyond "extinguishing fires" and developing a proactive schedule by effectively anticipating needs; and 3) taking the initiative to figure out innovative, new ways that marketing can positively impact sales.
You'll be spending the bulk of your time, about 80%, in tactical pursuits, primarily fielding marketing requests such as sales collateral, presentations etc. from our sales reps; another 10% on strategic "special projects" working on overall major account advertising initiatives, conducting secondary research and presenting results to our sales director; and the final 10% on cross-functional training including sales, product development, needs assessment, B2B promotional events etc.
Qualifications:
What You'll Bring to the Table
• At least 5+ years of general marketing experience with a solid understanding of fundamental marketing principles including online/digital, promotions, product development, competitive media.
• Strong research and analysis skills, with the ability to generate insights based on data.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to interface with AEs, other departments, and customers.
• Proven ability to partner with a team of sales professionals, solve problems creatively, and develop solutions-based programs tailored to specific client needs and objectives
• Strong project management and multi-tasking capabilities with the ability to work well under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
• Experience in leading and managing a marketing team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office suite, especially PowerPoint & Excel.
• Working familiarity with Scarborough, Nielsen, comScore and Omniture
• Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of media marketing or media research, event marketing and promotions.
• Understanding of the sales cycle; worked with sales as a primary internal customer.
• Working familiarity with digital online analytics (e.g. Omniture, ComScore, @Plan, etc.)
