We are building a small and passionate team working to evolve Instagram's brand. Our work aims to be consistent while also relevant to the global markets we address. We are looking for an Art Director to join the team with a background in marketing/advertising and experience in film, mobile and web. You must be comfortable working across many media. You're a conceptual thinker who can bring your ideas to life in new and inspiring ways. You have a strong point of view on design and brand campaigns. When you decide to make something, you see your vision from concept to launch without any hand-holding.
Responsibilities
• Lead brand campaign projects
• Collaborate with writers, engineers, strategists and other marketing functions
• Create and design conceptual brand expressions across many media (No coding or development experience necessary).
• Deep understanding of brand campaigns and project strategy
• Seek out creative opportunities to improve on existing style and approach
• Delivers content that’s delightful, beautiful, and clear and with a high level of finish and polish
• Delivers compelling visuals in various styles/mediums: illustration, photography, film, animation or other media (as appropriate)
• Works closely with the Creative Director and Content Strategist to implement a cohesive visual style, voice, and tone
Minimum Qualifications
• Must have a portfolio showcasing work across many media
• Portfolio features 360 marketing campaigns and creative branding work
• 5+ years art direction experience in a marketing/advertising function
• Attention to detail
• Can articulate design decisions
• History of self-initiated projects
• Understands basic content strategy
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
