Bloomberg AIM delivers global, multi-asset solutions for portfolio management, trading, compliance and operations for buy-side firms. What's the role?
As a key member of our Americas Sales team in San Francisco, you'll be responsible for generating revenue through new prospects and growth through referrals. You'll work closely with prospects to gain a clear understanding of their business needs, and provide consultative solutions to build stronger relationships. You'll also play a role in influencing the direction of our products by providing feedback on user workflow demand, competitor intelligence, and market trends.
You'll need to demonstrate credibility with a proven competency and knowledge of the buy side community, have an understanding of the operational and trading activities of a fund, familiarity with the Portfolio Performance and Risk analytics/ Order management space and solid understanding of equity, fixed income and derivative markets. You will need to demonstrate strategic account planning, listening, and execution skills, along with the ability to articulate a clear, concise return on investment value statement to our clients. You will also need to have experience in sales where you have met or exceeded demanding targets.
We'll trust you to focus on these 2 core areas: Revenue & Knowledge:
• Manage the Enterprise sales engagement smoothly from beginning to end
• Identify client needs, workflows, proposed solutions, commercials and time lines on product delivery
• Manage the pre-sales pipeline efficiently
Knowledge: you'll demonstrate a depth of understanding and fluency in the following areas:
• The marketplace
• The Customer's business (who their customers are, how they make money, org chart / decision makers)
• The Customer's technology stack, workflows, and internal structure (influence maps, competing products)
• Bloomberg business opportunities beyond buy side solutions
