Role Scenario
Shazam provides advertisers unparalleled opportunities to connect with consumers in new and exciting ways. Our advertising product is evolving in ways it hasn’t done before, and the Integrated Marketing and Sales team need to be able to pivot quickly to support the goals of the sales organization. Shazam is seeking a Sales Coordinator to join our rapidly growing International Ad Sales team. This is a critical role in the sales process at Shazam and encompasses pre and post sales campaign support, conception of idea through to submission and final reporting.
The role will provide overall support to the Integrated Marketing and Sales team. As a Sales Coordinator, you will work closely with the wider Sales team business and partner with other business areas to conceptualize, develop and build world-class sales materials; responding to brand briefs, proactively researching brand strategy, and driving repeat business. It’s an important role but the potential rewards are huge; you will work with a product that is enjoyed by millions of people.
Where Does The Role Sit?
This role is based in New York and will report into the Senior Integrated Marketing Manager and work directly with the Integrated Marketing team in addition to assisting the East/Central Sales team. You will find yourself collaborating with people far and wide across the global business.
What Will You Do?
Integrated Marketing:
• Assist the Integrated Marketing team with overflow work requests as needed to ensure all deadlines are met on time.
• Assist the Integrated Marketing team in developing materials for large strategic deals; providing simple mocks, compiling the research story etc.
• Build powerpoint presentations in response to RFP’s and brand briefs
• Actively participate and contribute ideas to help shape the strategy for our key advertising partners
• Proactively work to update core sales materials with Shazam’s most up-to-date product offerings and data.
• Assist in the creation of all proactive and package materials created to aid the sales team with their goals. Collaborate with all key players to ensure all necessary parameters are met and approved.
Sales support:
• Proactively prospect for the sales team’s key accounts. Searching the trades, subscription services, brand sites and social media outlets.
• Assist the Sales team with research requests using Shazam’s internal database and third party systems (e.g.GlobalWebIndex)
Experience: Required
• Solid relevant experience in same or related industry (preferably a sales/advertising organization or digital agency).
• Keen attention to detail in execution and forms of communication.
• Flexibility within an ever-changing/evolving, fast-paced, yet thrilling world of digital and emerging media.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise projects accordingly.
• Effectively communicate between internal departments and work well with different personalities.
• Highly Proficient with MS Office Powerpoint, with experience in Word and Excel.
• Desire and ability to contribute ideas to the Integrated Marketing team and ad sales organization at large
• Creative know-how to pull together simple mocks, with an eye for design aesthetic. Photoshop skills a plus.
• Eagerness to learn about the company, industry, and clients.
