We have an opening for an experienced, innovative, strategic Business Intelligence Analyst (Marketing)in ourWhitby, Ontariooffice.
Reporting to the VP, Sales & Marketing Operations, the Business Intelligence Analyst (Marketing) is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of information delivery solutions for the global and regional business units.
The Business Intelligence Analyst works closely with our marketing team to understand and challenge business questions and requirements, and deliver standard and ad hoc data analysis, dashboard, information capabilities and reporting while ensuring information accuracy and speed of delivery.
The role sits in the Planning & Performance Office, that serves as a centralized global knowledge hub of experts that own, develop and deploy key Marketing, Sales & Pricing processes, platform and analytical assets to the business regions (North America, LATAM, EMEA, Asia). The PPO members bring deep subject matter expertise strengthening company performances and maintaining consistency across the teams. Led by the CMO, the PPO goal is to continuously increase the overall sales efficacy.
Critical Functions:
• Demonstrable proficiency in mastering Enterprise Business Intelligence tools, preferably Tableau (in alternative QlikView, MicroStrategy, Cognos, or major BI tools); must become the Tableau guru and main go-to-person within the global PPO team.
• Knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write stored procedures, triggers, analytic/windowing functions, as knowledge of relational and dimensional database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
• As a subject matter expert, will be asked to create Business Intelligence dashboards and implement the required supporting architecture. He/she will be responsible for delivering a variety of requests, reporting and analysis delivered through data visualization. This will be primarily focused around the strategic areas of marketing and sales performance, campaign performances, digital business, and customer journey monitoring.
• Ensure that newly delivered reports conform to business standards for formatting and distribution/security, as well as validating developed reports prior to UAT to ensure that they meet the initial specification and have data integrity.
• Provide thought leadership, best practices, and standards required to deliver effective solutions to the stakeholders in the central and regional business units.
A successful candidate will have:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or foreign degree equivalent; or equivalent work experience.
• Two plus years of experience with data visualization implementing high value-add solutions and performing administrative activities across a multi-environment infrastructure.
• Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
• Consistent collaboration with business users and analyze user requirements.
• Excellent English communication skills – both written and oral.
• Highly self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Strong knowledge of Tableau or others major Business Intelligence tool.
• Development experience working with SQL and databases.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, CRM or marketing automation platforms.
• Exceptional technical troubleshooting skills.
