Bell Business Markets provides a vast array of communications solutions for small, medium, and large organizations. These include managed data and network solutions, cloud computing, conferencing, Web, security solutions and integrated information and communications technology (ICT) services.
Bell Business Markets marketing team is currently recruiting for a dynamic; results focused Director, Product Management, Managed Services and Late lifecycle Products
The Director, Product Management, Data Services and Late lifecycle Products will have overall responsibility for setting the strategic product direction establishing and maintaining product requirements and roadmaps, and ensuring successful realization of the product strategy across our chosen market.
In this role you will drive the P&L for the Data Services business, Late Lifecycle products and ensure a consistent discipline and cadence is followed for new product introductions.
The Director will manage teams of resources experienced in each of these disciplines and ensure a strong focus on a product lead strategy, which includes defining and executing a 3 year product roadmap for the respective portfolios. The Data Services scope covers Internet, Broadband Ethernet, IP VPN, SD-WAN and emerging opportunities. Late Lifecycle primarily covers voice and data and its evolution and transition to new technologies.
This position is both strategic and technical in nature and requires extensive industry experience; this individual will possess an understanding of customer value propositions so as to understand real customer needs.
Job Function:
• Delivering the portfolio’s revenue objectives and the profitability (EBITDA) objectives, including forecasting and managing demand
• Developing the product roadmap, the functionality required to win in the market place while optimizing operating cost and ROI for the company
• Lead the implementation of new product introduction initiatives as the project sponsor
• Lead and coach the project management team through support and execution of the new product introduction, including project reviews and tracking performance
• Identifying and pursuing opportunities for simplification, cost reduction and/or improvement in the end to end product delivery
• Set and manage pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals
• Work with marketing to develop value propositions, sales tools and collateral
Skills and Competencies:
• Exceptional financial and business acumen
• Experience in Data Services and Lifecycle Management
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, ability to influence management at all levels including senior executive levels
• Demonstrated success defining and launching products
• Technical background, with experience in date networking and voice technologies
• Experience with SDN, SD-WAN, NFV, MPLS, WAN Optimization, IP-VPN, VPN, Ethernet connectivity solutions.
• Working with national or international Telecoms Carrier/ISP offering Data centric solutions to enterprise customers.
• Ability to foster innovation and drive change
• Strategist with excellent communication, leadership, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills
Experience Required:
• Minimum 5 years business experience in Telecommunications, Business Markets and ICT
Education Requirements:
• Business / Finance / Marketing / Engineering degree, preferably at the graduate level or equivalent experience
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
