At Palgrave Macmillan we publish serious non-fiction for students, professionals, scholars and the general reader. We are currently recruiting a Designer on an initial 18 months’ contract with a view to the role becoming permanent for the right person.
Designer, Scholarly Jackets
In this role you will work on jacket design for the scholarly books commissioned by our global team and read by researchers worldwide. Working closely with production and editorial colleagues, your team will supply print-ready files for over 1000 new books per year.
The successful candidate will have:
• Experience in a similar role
• A degree in graphic design
• Expert knowledge and experience of InDesign and Adobe Creative Suite
• The organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines
You will need to build strong working relationships with your colleagues in New York and London so you need to be flexible, collaborative and adept at keeping colleagues informed by phone and email. This role would be ideal for someone wishing to take the next step in their design career.
This role will be based in our London offices.
