Job Description Summary
The Digital Producer will manage the successful development and production of online courses as Pearson transitions from a publishing organization to a digital courseware solutions provider.
The Digital Producer manages the integration of course content into Pearson’s platforms. He/she works closely with content producers and ensures that content structure, enrichment standards, and other compliance standards are met. The Producer is accountable for final integration quality assurance and works closely with Courseware Quality Assurance to track, resolve and escalate issues.
The Digital Producer manages the development of rich media assets such as animations, simulations, and video working with developmental editors and vendors. He/she ensures that key stakeholders’ needs and requirements are reflected in prioritization and decision making relative to rich media assets.
The Producer takes a lead in communicating the end-to-end workflow related to courseware production across cross-functional teams. In this role, the Digital Producer will have the opportunity to facilitate and direct activities to deliver projects according to established financial, schedule, and quality objectives while establishing and maintaining best practices and ensuring quality in the whole process.
Assignment Scope
• Functions as a primary stakeholder for assigned projects within Pearson and external to the organization (vendors and customers).

Job Duties
Planning: Helps on board new team members using Digital Studio tools. Establishes plans for development and production of assessment and rich media assets (e.g. animations, simulations, video). Works with Content Producers to plan content metadata to ensure that content is sufficiently enriched and appropriately formatted to deliver analytics for high impact on learner outcomes. Works with team to ensure established use of project management tools such as Smartsheets, RACIs, and workflows, maintaining best practices.
Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identifies project risks to course production and escalates so proper mitigation can happen in a timely manner.
Schedule: Establishes schedules for development and production of selected assessment and rich media assets (e.g. animations, simulations, video). Collaborates on schedule development, and contributes to schedule tracking. Monitors schedules for interrelated asset and timing dependencies and escalates risks as appropriate.. Communicates technology dependences to team.
Resources: Identifies, contracts and manages external resources for quality compliance, schedule and budget. Provides feedback on performance.
Integration: Ensures successful integration of content into Pearson platforms. Works closely with Learning Tools product managers to enrich courses. Contributes to requirements gathering for teams that build tools that support content development and production workflow.
Quality: Directs issue resolution through JIRA assigning issues as appropriate. Serves as the primary escalation point for customer service and tech support issues related to courseware builds and rich media content. Manages the change control process, and impartially resolves process issues and bottlenecks, as applicable.

Qualifications
• This position requires a Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 2-4 years experience managing small to medium-sized project/initiative teams, preferably in a technical environment
• Proven track record of communicating and influencing management and stakeholders
• Experience managing content and content workflows within technical environments - planning and delivering technical products and experience
• Strong project management skills; able to identify issues early enough to mitigate a successful solution
