Summary
The Research Coordinator will lead and execute viewership research projects for Spectrum Networks.
Essential Job Functions
• Utilize Nielsen’s Arianna program and internal set-top box data to:
◦ Find insights that will aid marketing and production strategies
◦ Deliver ad hoc viewership reports for various internal departments
◦ Assist in executing daily, monthly and quarterly viewership reports
◦ Create and maintain ratings trackers for partner teams at Spectrum’s regional sports networks
• Work with qualitative and quantitative data provided by internal and external partners to better understand each network’s audience
• Perform market research to find industry best practices and trends in media
Position Requirements: Knowledge & Experience (Technical Responsibilities)
• Excellent organization skills, strategic planning, written and oral communications, public speaking, business writing and computer skills (MS Office Suite)
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience with VBA and macros
• Strong understanding of TV research analysis, marketing, media production, advertising sales, communications and digital media
• Knowledge of sports, news and/or media operations
• Minimum 1-3 years in research with established track record of managing databases and executing regular reports
• Dynamic personality to be able to effectively communicate with both internal and external partners
• Creative thinker that can fashion meaningful stories with the ebb and flow of sports/news viewership
• Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
Formal Education & Certification
• College diploma or university degree in the field of Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or a similar discipline
Travel Requirements:
• Minimal - travel depending upon project needs
