The Sales Operations Intern will be supporting the North America and Professional Education and Government Go to Market Team (NAHE Proed) with managing necessary sales metrics to help guide strategic decisions around forecasting, performance and support the overall GTMs goals. Specifically s/he will be responsible for:
• Develop and analyze metrics and KPIs in assessing overall sales team performance by sales rep and by account and other parameters.
• Collaborate with peers in Accounting and Finance to perform ad-hoc analysis to explain variances versus Budget, prior Forecast and prior months.
• Maintain sales results by rep, by platform, account and team and provide YOY analysis as well as other KPIs.
• Work with internal business operations team to ensure SFDC alignment with GTM sales needs.
• Perform ad-hoc sales analysis.
• Consolidating weekly forecast data; providing forecast analysis to guide forecasting decisions. Compare historical forecast data to develop trends.
• Look for ways to improve the accuracy and automation of the current Forecasting process.
Learning & Development:
• The fundamentals of supporting a sales organization via sales operations, metrics and reporting, and territory planning.
• The framework for supporting a sales organization through field marketing initiatives, specifically in the areas of lead/demand generations, market/product specific initiatives and event planning.
Professional Qualifications:
• Strong Excel, Powerpoint and Access skills, with particular focus on financial modeling and the use of advanced features of spreadsheets.
• Experience with Salesforce.com is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Peoplesoft Financials is preferred.
• Highly organized and ability to work on multiple projects at once.
• High level of analytical ability and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal and organization skills required.
• Flexibility a must.
• MBA candidate strongly preferred.
