Summary of role:
• Performance of activity to the highest standards. Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Ensuring maintenance of customer satisfaction on an ongoing basis.
Complexity of work managed: 50% standard, 50% adhoc
Main activities/responsibilities:
• Complete the processing of all technical responsibilities (see below) in a timely, efficient and accurate manner
• Contribute to team effort and assist co-workers as needed to balance workloads
• Help to create a work atmosphere conducive to a high degree of integrity and teamwork
• Maintain customer satisfaction by promptly following up on customers’ requests for information.
• Ensure SLAs are met and service is delivered to end users as expected.
• Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and innovative solutions and communicate these to the Team Leader.
• Take proactive involvement in determining and implementing best practices
Technical activities/responsibilities:
Product & Customer Analysis:
• Prepare and model product development costs for approval
• Gather necessary data and prepare analysis for product reviews, including annual business plans (ABPs), list plans, quarterly product reviews
• Review current revenues and cost of sales drivers, benchmark where applicable, determine how to optimize efficiency, recommend necessary changes
• Calculate product costing
• Review latest financials, analysis trends, assess new risks & opportunities, flag for mitigation
• Perform variance & profitability analysis
• Measure life-to-date financial return on products
• Support decisions to retain/reinvest/refine a product through analysis
• Provide information to help prepare and update product budgets
• Track performance of product strategies
• Prepare product lifecycle reporting & analysis in accordance with PLC (product lifecycle)
• Provide data for M&A support, disposition support, claims & litigations support
• Provide information for product investment impairment analysis
• Amortization modeling based on product lifecycle capital investment
• Perform NPV analyses on balance sheet
• Provide information to perform pre-pub balance sheet impairment reviews
• Ad-hoc data analysis to support the Global Product finance team
Pricing:
• Coordinate regular price reviews
• Support annual/semi-annual price increase process for generally available products
• Support US deal desk pricing review requests
• Support custom product pricing models
• Support pricing development for new product models
• Support price discounting analyses and modeling
• Monitor & report on pricing trends
• Monitor & report on pricing guideline adherence
• Conduct variance analysis on KPIs
• Document pricing approval workflows
• Process approved pricing exceptions
Qualifications and experience required:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a Finance/Accounting or related discipline
• Demonstrate consistent accuracy and timeliness
• Team player
• Strong analytical mindset for modeling/ forecasting financial impact of change
• Need to have awareness and insight around materiality, seasonality, product/customer profitability, variability
• Independent, Self-motivated
• Strong excel skills
• Strong communication skills
