Forbes is seeking a Digital Producer to join its editorial team in Hong Kong. This position is a key part of the company’s objective to expand its digital footprint across the APAC region. The successful candidate will help to develop content – especially from our growing network of expert contributors – that will engage our users wherever they are in the digital space.
Main Responsibilities
• Help to grow and maintain our network of contributors in the APAC region, troubleshooting any issues that arise
• Research, write and edit stories as directed
• Identify interesting and important stories across our region
• Help to develop and manage editorial planning calendar for APAC region
• Work to ensure Forbes content maximizes traffic opportunities with smart programing that recognizes peak times in key markets, clever language and curation across all platforms, real-time tracking of performance, and clear communication and collaboration with key colleagues such as social
• Support other colleagues with ongoing editorial projects as needed
• Manage content within CMS system and work with colleagues to ensure the best new stories are promoted across our social accounts
Required Skills/Experience
• 3-5 years’ editorial experience with a digital publisher – preferably in a newsroom
• Knowledge of the APAC region – especially from a news and current affairs perspective
• Working knowledge of key analytics tools, such as Google Analytics and Chartbeat
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Previous experience working with a CMS system
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Degree or post-graduate qualification with a major emphasis on communications/new media
• Excellent command of spoken and written English. Other Asian languages a plus
