ABOUT US:
Established in 2007, CBS Films is a multifaceted studio handling the development, financing, production and marketing of theatrical motion pictures. CBS Films currently plans to release four to six movies a year spanning all genres and will oversee their global distribution with partners while self-distributing the titles theatrically in the United States. The studio has released more than a dozen films including "The Mechanic," "Beastly," "The Woman in Black," "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen," "Seven Psychopaths," The Kings of Summer," "The To Do List," "Last Vegas" and "Inside Llewyn Davis" to date. CBS Films upcoming release includes LOVE THE COOPERS which follows the Cooper clan as four generations of extended family come together for their annual Christmas Eve celebration. Release date: Nov. 13, 2015.
DESCRIPTION:
The Executive Offices of CBS Films are seeking interns to work closely with management and will be involved with daily administrative tasks.
These duties include but are not limited to: conducting research for potential projects (including researching box office data, dvd sales, and book sales), researching film festivals around the globe (including searching for trailers and sales agent contact info), helping the team prep for various festivals (e.g. Sundance, Berlin, Cannes, SXSW, and Tribeca), helping the team create festival ‘bibles’, data entry, and other miscellaneous office/administrative tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: An interest in films/media/television
-Strong computer skills
-Proficient at Microsoft Word & Excel
-oriented, able to multi-task, and have excellent communication skills
-Motivated individuals that work well under pressure in a fast-paced
environment
This opportunity is exclusively available to current
students and is only for academic credit. Interns must be able to submit a letter from an accredited college/university stating the class and number of credits to be earned.
