Overview:
Material Bank is an exciting new initiative that connects designers and architects directly to manufacturers. The Material Bank Sales Director will report directly to the CEO of SANDOW to launch the sales efforts for a game-changing new venture that will disrupt the way specifiers research materials and manufacturers fulfill sampling requests.
The first priority will be to work in tandem with the CEO to establish a founding client base for Material Bank. Once this has been accomplished, the Sales Director will assume ultimate responsibility for leading new business development efforts and growing existing accounts. This individual will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting, to presentations, to proposals, negotiations, and closing deals.
This is an exciting opportunity that requires an entrepreneurial spirit and a tenacious drive to pioneer a disruptive new offering. The ideal candidate will have a sales background in the materials space (e.g. fabrics, flooring, tile, stone) possess strong presentation skills, and have an ambitious work ethic. Ability to travel is a must.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Create new business opportunities by working closely with the CEO
• Maintain an active pipeline of business
• Participate in tradeshow and networking events
• Develop proposals and negotiate deals
• Manage follow-up with clients
Experience:
• Experience working in a sales capacity for a (design) materials manufacturer is preferred
• Proven track record of reaching and exceeding sales goals
• Recent experience includes a focus on new business
• Start-up experience a plus
