Twitter’s Global Integrated Marketing team is responsible for creating, spotlighting and distributing the most relevant and compelling content for marketers and agencies. This team’s work brings Twitter to life for these key customer audiences, driving strategic value, scale and optimization.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will set the vision and strategy for using email to successfully connect the right message with the right marketer to drive business impact. You will lead a small global team of email marketing managers and mentor them through all facets of email lifecycle marketing.
The role involves close collaboration with our Editorial and Global Platforms & Programs leads, as well as the Marketing & Email Operations, Regional Marketing leads and Sales teams. You will:
• Define our vision for email marketing to Twitter’s largest clients (LCS) and create the strategic roadmap from the ground up.
• Own the end-to-end customer lifecycle, overseeing all email touch points within the customer journey.
• Oversee execution of LCS email programs globally.
• Optimize our marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through email.
• Develop documentation and road maps for processes, A/B tests, and promotions that succeed through email.
• Oversee the email marketing team and ensure their programs are in alignment with the broader email program goals and objectives.
• Recommend special projects, segmentation strategies, lifecycle campaigns, and optimization and testing efforts to drive performance of marketing KPIs.
• Grow our email list by identifying the right individuals by role within our defined client companies.
• Partner with Editorial and Design teams to ensure our emails are insight driven, on brand and disruptive. Ensure consistency and adherence to marketing communications and brand standards.
• Test and evolve the overall email contact strategy across the customer lifecycle.
• Work with Operations team to maximize the integrity and effectiveness of the database and in the development of automated, remarketing, and lifecycle programs.
• Monitor industry trends, and introduce new tools and ideas to increase performance and engagement.

• You have a customer-first mindset and a passion for bold and disruptive marketing.
• You have superior data interpretation and analytics skills with deep knowledge of marketing analytics, attribution models, and behavioral segmentation .
• You are familiar with responsive email design and email best practices.
• You are highly analytical and able to derive meaning from data through A/B testing and email optimization.
• You demonstrated success in influencing/negotiating with others, and fostering healthy team dynamics.
• You have a builder mentality, an insatiable sense of curiosity, and love for rolling up your sleeves to getting to work.
• You have execution and problem solving skills that are second to none; resourcefulness, attention to detail, and comfort tackling ambiguity.
Requirements
• BA/BS or equivalent working experience.
• 8-10 year of experience in email marketing, lead nurturing, marketing automation, and web analytics.
• Experience managing a team.
• Subject matter expert in email marketing, marketing automation, and Salesforce (Eloqua, Marketo, ExactTarget).
• Excellent understanding of email marketing concepts and metrics such as Sender Score, deliverability, and sender reputation.
• Proven execution against performance targets in addition to tracking and delivering on key operational metrics (e.g. engagement, retention, conversion)
• Excellent writer and communicator (written and verbal).
• Proven success leading lifecycle marketing teams in business-to-business companies
• Comprehensive knowledge of digital marketing best practices, relevant email law (CAN-SPAM, COPPA), and consumer database management.
• Expertise in data-driven marketing, customer segmentation, and marketing automation.
• Basic understanding of HTML/ CSS.
