The Bell Residential Services team is in the business of enabling customers to connect with people, information and entertainment by delivering integrated products and service experience for consumers while enhancing our competitiveness in the marketplace. The team provides customers with Bell Home phone, local and long distance services, Bell Internet, Bell Satellite TV and amazing new technologies such as Bell Fibe TV.
Position Description:
Lead the BRS MDU team’s data-based analysis projects. Use and improve existing data sources while working to build new ones, in order to solve identified business problems. Find ways to improve source data accuracy and use unconventional visual data modeling techniques to help create stronger segment performance. From the onset, work as part of a tight-knit MDU team and contribute through mastery of the data that drives our Acquisition business.
In addition, the successful candidate will spend a portion of time rounding out his/her strategic marketing resume by taking part in and eventually leading end-to-end acquisition tactical projects.
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
• Drive Fibe TV, Internet, and Home Phone acquisition growth in key segments by playing a quarterback role on all data-driven projects
• Produce weekly and monthly scorecards for a variety of MDU business segments and regions
• Campaign Analysis: weekly, ad hoc and post mortem campaign results analysis
• Understand and improve upon MDU performance trends (eg: monthly churn in large buildings vs small, channel specific customer conversion rates by geographic area, etc); Identify how these trends differ versus those of other segments within BRS
• Work cross-functionally to increase frequency and improve accuracy of all available MDU source data
• Team up with those producing BRS customer activation forecasts and provide segment specific MDU inputs
• Work with Google based tools to produce heat maps and other visual data models
• Produce predictive equations and algorithms to better identify high-opportunity MDU buildings for marketing rights and acquisition tactic targeting
• Work with BRS’ pricing team to manage availability and specific details of Bell bundle offers
• Create compelling and strategic marketing presentations to obtain buy-in and alignment across key campaign stakeholders
• Actively contribute to the overall marketing planning cycle and occasionally lead end-to-end execution activities for new tactics
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
• University degree in Marketing, Finance and/or Business Administration
• 2-3 years’ experience working as an analyst, in marketing program management or in another data-driven discipline
• Analytical skills: ability to quantify and analyze customer data and provide meaningful insights along with recommendations
• Strong, driven and patient team skills with a keen ability to remain focused on objectives, despite distractions
• Advanced MS Office skills, particularly MS Excel
• Proven ability to solve problems creatively
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills – comfortable working with various channel partners
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong sense of autonomy and initiative
• Bilingualism (French / English) is an asset, but not a requirement
Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:
• Knowledge of players, large and small, in the telecommunications competitive landscape
• Previous experience with data-driven marketing strategy
• Comfortable in working in a virtual team environment
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
