HR Relocation and Unemployment Specialist

Job Summary:
The specialist is responsible for the administration of iHeartMedia’s domestic employee relocation program in partnership with our relocation service vendor, coordinating visa and green card process with attorneys and employees, and managing the unemployment claims process in coordination with a 3rd party vendor.
Relocation Specialist Responsibilities (80%):
• Serves as iHeartMedia’s point of contact to our relocation vendor for consulting services and estimates to hiring managers on available relocation options
• Confers with managers on relocation costs, program and processes, and makes recommendations that are economically advantageous and within budget
• Initiates all relo service requests with the domestic relocation vendor and coordinates all services with the vendor (expense management, home sale/purchase, home finding, temporary living, movement of household goods, lump sum payment, etc.)
• Coordinates with all internal department/functions (Finance, Payroll Tax, HR Talent Acquisition) for accurate data reporting and compliance
• Works closely with vendor and transferee on a daily basis to ensure seamless delivery of services
• Tracks all pertinent relocation details on transferees to ensure proper billing as well as maintain a record of services and budget achievement
• Processes invoices from vendor in a timely manner and ensures each relocation is charged to correct cost center
• Works closely with Payroll and Payroll Tax team for manual check requests for lump sum payments
• Provides managers, HR Business Partners, and/or finance team with relocation status updates
• Develops relocation process changes based on analysis of previous internal relocations and evolving market practices, making recommendations to management for relo delivery improvements or efficiencies
• Works with outside legal counsel provider for Immigration Visa/Sponsorship requests
• Tracks immigration processes to ensure timely delivery of documentation and job data to attorneys
• Maintains immigration documents for the Public Files
• Reviews relocation and immigration charges for accuracy before submission for payments
Unemployment Claims Specialist Responsibilities (20%):
• Process time sensitive state requests for employee information on a daily basis either manually or by utilizing 3rd party vendor electronic delivery system
• Work closely with vendor client services team to provide support to managers throughout the unemployment claim process
• Proactively reach out to managers to encourage full participation in claims process
• Seek opportunities to improve claims process that contributes to reduction of liability
Required Skills:
• Excellent interpersonal skills, necessary to develop relationships with managers, transferees, and vendor
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to quickly learn organization culture and the needs of various lines of businesses
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing tasks
• Ability to make decisions using business facts and good judgment.

• Ability to manage vendor relationships
• Proficiency with Microsoft office products (Outlook, Excel, Power Point)
Qualifications:
• BS / BA Degree preferred
• 2-5 years of previous HR experience or equivalent of combined education and experience
• Domestic Relocation and Immigration experience preferred
• Workday HCM experience preferred
