Overview:
Crackle is seeking a well-organized summer publicity intern to help support the media and talent relations department. Ranging from launching new original programming to coordinating talent participation for a press tour, our group handles all aspects of media and talent relations, including social efforts. The publicity intern will be exposed to a variety of tasks including: press clippings, award submissions & timelines, research, campaign launches, press interviews, EPK/promo shoots, press tours, events, photo selects, social media, editing press kit materials, coordinating mailings, marketing & PR brainstorm sessions and more. The internship program's summer session is a full-time, 40 hour/ week commitment lasting for a 10-week period. All applicants must be in good academic standing and available for the entire 10-week session.

Responsibilities:
Intern responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Work on database project updating press contacts
• Search for and organize press clippings
• Assist with press kit creation
• Assist with identifying clips and key select photos
• Assist with social media campaigns
• Attend and assist at various types of publicity functions and events when schedule permits
• Perform other related duties/projects as assigned
Qualifications:
• Enrollment in an accredited college/university for the duration of the internship is required
• Communications, Business or English Major (with an interest in public relations/television)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and superior interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of the televisions industry and current programming
• Understanding of social media, including Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram and YouTube
• Knowledge of media sources for entertainment news
• Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint
• Strong interest in publicity
• Must have a flexible schedule
• Must have good judgement
Program Information:
SPE’s Summer 2017 Internship is a 10 week full time program with two session starts, June 12-August 18 or June 26-September 1, 2017. All applicants must be enrolled in an accredited degree program for the entire duration of their internship and must be available for 40 hours per week for the full 10 week session.
