Role overview:
As Lead Business Analyst, you will lead the BA team adding value to initiatives by translating business visions into requirements and successfully delivered solutions. The role is both hands on, where you will work directly on forming and delivering projects and a leadership role where you will manage and set direction for your team.
Day to day you will
• Lead the BA team to ensure they own and manage:
• Requirements throughout the project life-cycle ensuring requirement traceability from analysis through to delivery
• Design solutions that meet people, process and technology needs and provide a route from the As-Is to the To-Be
• The business case validity throughout the life of the project
• Develop and mentor the BA team
• Produce quality, clear and consistent outputs that are required though all the phases of a delivery
• Work closely with stakeholders, third parties and vendors, building relationships and achieving great internal customer satisfaction
• Lead the analysis of an a large programme stream, documenting requirement and defining solutions. Lead by example.
The skills we look for
• Manage a team but more importantly show leadership capabilities.
• Work through the technology delivery lifecycle from inception to release and maintenance.
• Deliver in agile/iterative environments with methodologies such as SCRUM, Kanban, Lean or DSDM. Have an understanding of iterative product development including MVP, prototyping and lean start-up techniques.
• Structured analysis; and know how, ability to use User Stories, UML, Business Process Modelling etc.
• Use visual techniques, both in diagrams and informally on the whiteboard, that make it easier to understand and reason with difficult problems.
• A great facilitator who can work with disparate stakeholders and team members and drive consensus in meetings, workshops and one to one interactions.
• Be a good communicator but your ability to influence will be what sets you apart
