Role Summary:
This position assists the Executive Vice President of Publicity, who oversees the publicity staffs and campaigns for all Universal Pictures titles in theatrical release.
The individual in this position will multi-task, interact and coordinate with colleagues from within Universal Pictures as well as with press, filmmakers, talent and their representatives, while at the same time fulfilling all assistant duties. Exceptional communication skills at all management levels are crucial as is the ability to instinctively prioritize on this very busy desk. Individuals should be able to handle multiple responsibilities. On a daily basis, the individual in this position will be someone that can take initiative with minimal direction, have the ability to seek out information from various sources and have exceptional follow through. Individuals in this job must possess strong verbal and writing skills.
Essential Responsibilities:
Administrative duties such as correspondence, calendar, travel and expenses, filing and covering phones.
Maintain publicity contacts, calendars, memos, schedules and materials, etc.
Oversee scheduling of many regular, recurring meetings as well as unique meetings and larger screenings and events.
Fully absorb, understand and prioritize all internal hierarchies and functions; fully absorb, understand and prioritize all external contacts -- including major national press, filmmakers, talent and industry figures -- with whom the EVP interacts.
Availability to work screenings, premieres and press junkets.
Must be extremely detail orientated and organized.
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
At least 1 year of administrative experience in the entertainment industry specifically marketing, promotions or publicity.
Prior experience working with multiple clients, departments, etc.
Strong written and communication skills at all levels.
Excellent computer skills and strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Desired Characteristics
4-year college degree in marketing or related field is preferred but not required.
Experience with talent agency a plus.
