Looking for a lead media / business analyst role to help in the process of ideation, analysis, measurement, reporting, and strategic recommendations for Tribune Media properties focusing on entertainment, news, and culture.
Being able to identify growth opportunities within our own space, but also in the media landscape will be key.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct analysis on current content performance across entertainment and news brand
• Compile weekly, monthly, and quarterly topline reports on traffic, growth and potential opportunities
• Assist in guiding video strategy based on analytical findings and testing across social / on site video player
• Brief edit teams on content performance with both qualitative and quantitative finding
• Evaluate opportunities for audience/brand growth
• Recommend social strategies based on competitive analyses
• Synthesize data findings for recommendations to develop content strategy across news and entertainment verticals
• Researching industry topics / areas of interest
• Help define possible social strategies to be implemented when thinking about emerging platforms as well as existing ones
• Advocate and share new perspectives within the product dept C
• Compose summaries to condense data into a digestible format for executive team
Qualifications:
• 3 years in understanding and working with analytics for a publisher or media company with some exposure to with business analytics reporting
• Comprehensive experience with Excel
• Experience using standard analytics platforms: Google Analytics, YouTube Analytics, Facebook Insights
• Exposure to social/video measurement tools (e.g. liftmetrix, social bakers, shareablee, tubular, crowdtangle)
• Exposure to audience development initiatives: paid marketing and social, audience acquisition
• Has worked across teams ranging from creative/editorial to marketing to product
About You:
• Interest in data and/or data visualization to help tell informative stories
• Possess an eye for anomalies and details
• Can work with excel, but express thoughts in keynote
• Open to new perspectives while understanding traditional content models
• You pay attention to various definitions of culture across all mediums (TV<Social<Onsite<Mobile<Print<IRL)
