WHO WE ARE
Twitter’s North America Business Marketing team is looking for an experienced marketer to lead strategic marketing initiatives to reach the most discerning consumers in the world -- marketers. Our team combines marketing expertise and creativity to lead savvy marketing initiatives that demonstrate the value of Twitter to our key customers and prospects -- marketers, media & creative agencies. Our goal is to establish Twitter as an indispensable partner to our clients’ business success.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
This role is responsible for 4 critical elements of our North America business marketing strategy:
1. Industry Marketing & Events Strategy
• Building a comprehensive marketing strategy to reach our audience through our presence at key industry and B2B events and associations (ANA, 4As, IAB)
• Evaluating and recommending whether sponsoring and/or speaking at key events such as Advertising Week can drive our overall marketing objectives and make a clear recommendation
• Producing ideas on content that can be showcased at industry events
2. Thought Leadership Marketing
• Create a data-driven thought leadership plan in partnership with marketing leadership and our research team to bring unique insights to marketers. This includes building a strong narrative and content marketing plan to highlight these insights in creative ways.
3. Agency Thought Leadership Marketing
• Specifically for our agency partners, adapt our marketing plan to create initiatives that are targeted to media & creative agencies, working closely with our Agency Team -- how do we activate and build stronger marketing programs that educate, influence and persuade business decision-makers on the value of Twitter
4. Comms Strategy
• In close partnership with Comms, build an integrated marketing and comms plan that ensures we are consistent with our messages and touch points across key audiences and that we leverage comms as a marketing channel.
This is a highly collaborative and strategic cross-functional marketing role that works with and should be comfortable influencing and making recommendations to Sales, Research and Agency Development in order to develop effective business-to-business marketing initiatives and go-to-market strategies that generate top and middle funnel metrics to shift perceptions, creating awareness and knowledge and building engagement with our customers. This role will also look horizontally to build marketing initiatives that can be scaled across various verticals, particularly as we look to position ourselves as thought leaders.
To be successful in this role, you should have significant experience in data-driven content creation & storytelling, a strong appreciation of Twitter solutions and products and experience working with Sales teams. You will also have a knack for identifying thought leadership opportunities and gaps and can generate creative ideas that align with the Twitter brand and help to achieve our overarching business marketing objectives. This is a full time position located in either our NY or SF office.
WHO YOU ARE:
• A proven track record for developing great content and thought leadership initiatives that drove clear impact on the business and on marketing objectives; marketing experience for media and creative agencies a plus
• Experience building data-driven thought leadership initiatives that ladder up to marketing challenges, collaborating closely with our Comms and Agency Development teams to drive business impact
• Superior writing skills and a passion for storytelling with data
• An ability to provide a unique point of view on industry topics
• The drive to see projects through from planning and concept development to execution and analysis
• A desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Builder mentality, an insatiable sense of curiosity, and love for rolling up your sleeves and getting to work
• Outstanding communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills; Twitter-first mentality
• Enthusiasm for understanding the customer and digging in to identify client needs and solutions that only Twitter can deliver
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Desire to help Twitter become a vital part of clients’ marketing strategies
Requirements:
• Minimum 6-8 years experience in B2B/content marketing
• Bachelors (or Masters) degree in Marketing, Journalism, or Business; MBA a plus
